Senior / Lead Business Analyst

This is a project-based Senior/Lead Business Analyst opportunity for experienced professionals who can independently manage business analysis activities and lead requirements for software projects.

JOB SUMMARY

MageTech Solutions is looking for an experienced Senior / Lead Business Analyst to take ownership of business analysis activities across software development projects.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling customer discussions, requirement discovery, documentation, solution analysis, stakeholder management, and coordination with technical teams.

This role is particularly suitable for experienced Business Analysts who prefer project-based consulting and leadership opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead end-to-end business analysis activities.
- Conduct client discovery and requirement workshops.
- Understand complex business processes.
- Identify business problems and recommend technology solutions.
- Define project scope and business objectives.
- Prepare detailed BRD and FRD documentation.
- Create user stories, epics, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
- Develop AS-IS and TO-BE process documentation.
- Identify functional gaps and dependencies.
- Work directly with business stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Translate business requirements into actionable technical requirements.
- Coordinate with Solution Architects and Technical Leads.
- Work closely with development and QA teams.
- Lead UAT planning and business validation.
- Manage requirement changes and scope discussions.
- Conduct product/project demonstrations.
- Support estimation and project planning.
- Identify project risks from a business perspective.
- Mentor junior Business Analysts when required.
- Ensure requirements remain aligned with customer business objectives.

PROJECT-BASED ENGAGEMENT

Work with MageTech Solutions on selected software projects as a Senior/Lead Business Analyst. Take ownership of requirements, client communication, documentation, solution analysis, and business validation throughout the project lifecycle.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

- 7+ years of Business Analysis experience.
- Strong experience in software product/project development.
- Excellent client-facing experience.
- Experience managing complex requirements.
- Experience working with distributed development teams.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to independently lead BA activities.
